Ella and I were in the car and a lady turned into us as we were driving. Luckily, I saw her and thought she was just hugging the line, but realized she was not stopping. So, I slammed on the brakes and she hit us in the front of the car and not in the side where we were sitting. We went to the hospital and got checked out. Ella was fine, just a few bruises and I was ok except for a fractured rib. We can't really complain since we could have been much worse off, but it really stunk for me and ruined a good part of my summer. No swimming for 5 weeks and no holding Addy for 3 weeks! Ella gave the nurses a good laugh, she told them she didn't want to wear the neck brace but that she would wear it if they had a pink one. Unfortunately, they didn't have a pink one but they all got a good laugh or two from her. Our car is gone but we truly are blessed to have been so safe.

i'm so glad you guys were all relatively safe! i hadn't realized that you had fractured a rib! crazy!
